Cancun Can …Again: Last month Cancun pictured itself as THE sun god when it came to sand and surf worshippers suitably shaded. Well, this pinnacle of peninsulas proves itself rethroned as aviators return to boldly gold and green, tortoise tops as the tone for men, mirror gets around, wrap retreats to a retro-minimal size and the Wayfarer turns white with justifiable self envy.

Wine Glasses — Our resident wild girl graphic designer Nami Ahn decides to take it down a notch with a relatively peaceful vacation weekend in Napa Valley and comes back with a veritable harvest of great sunglass and eyewear photos. Everyone is trending perfectly here (and in Part 2 in the 20/20 Sept 15 Sellers Guide) but we did some specialized grouping here to show off the fact that guys in shaved heads seem to be leading the way in top shade trending.

Puerto Rico: My Eye’s Devotion —
In Puerto Rico the sun is hot and the coastal breezes are cool. With a climate that averages between a balmy 83 to 85 degrees year round, every day is summer on this Caribbean isle. 20/20’s own Nami Ahn had the good fortune to jet off for a weekend getaway and snap some shots of vacationers sporting shades and soaking in the island’s splendor.

CLOSED FOR THE WINTER: Here comes the big chill for Long Island’s infamous Hamptons Seen. The historic (and sometimes hysterical) towns of South and East Hampton batten down the hatches and the Jitney bus becomes a lonely place as gray skies replace great thighs, greater eyes and the greatest sunglasses known to man… and woman. See you next summer and don’t forget to wear white and keep the whites of those eyes well shaded.  —James J. Spina
